Tiling & Surfaces
Estimate tile pieces, packs and optional approximate grout and adhesive for a surface area.
Scope boundary: Waterproofing, substrate suitability, movement joints and compliance are outside this tool's scope.

Measure clearly
Use the finished tileable wall or floor area. Record the actual tile dimensions from the box, then add a practical cut allowance for edges, corners and spares.
Worked example
An 8 m² surface using 600 × 300 mm tiles needs about 44.5 tiles before a 10% cut allowance, then rounds to your pack size.
Before you buy
Measure the finished tileable surface, not the room footprint.
Use the exact tile size and tiles-per-pack from the box.
Keep grout and adhesive outputs as indicative product checks.
Quick answers
Allowance depends on the layout, cuts, diagonal patterns, breakage and whether you want spare tiles. Keep the chosen percentage visible in the result.
No. They are approximate prompts only; joint width, tile profile, substrate and the chosen product change actual usage.
